A Florida-style underwater Easter egg hunt!! From July 1st – September 24th, Bay Scallops are the name of the game when it comes to the ultimate in family fun! Found in the shallow water grass beds of the Gulf of Mexico, these delicacies from the sea are the ultimate in harvest to table experiences. Like Discover Crystal River says, "It’s a fun family-friendly underwater adventure; all you need is a mask, snorkel, flippers, and one exceptional charter captain" that's where we come in! After a scenic 40-minute cruise to the scallop grounds, you'll don your masks, fins, and snorkels and grab a catch bag. (All provided in the cost of the charter.) Our in-water guide will get you started by pointing out these tasty morsels. Then it's off to the races snorkeling to collect your treasure. Once you’re back, you can even bring your catch to a local restaurant that will cook it for you. It’s a cherished local tradition and a Florida family favorite.

What To Expect
What do you get when you mix in our beautiful Florida Sunshine, clear Gulf of Mexico waters, your closest family and friends and a day on the boat harvesting our sweet and succulent bay scallops? FUN for all ages!
After a scenic 40-minute boat ride from the river to the Gulf of Mexico, this local tradition will have you donning your snorkel gear and jumping in to enjoy what has been likened to a "salt water scavenger hunt" or "underwater Easter egg hunt". These tasty mollusks seat themselves in the grass beds in and around Crystal River and Homosassa. You simply snorkel around searching for your savory treasures pick them up and place them in your mesh scallop bag! It's that easy. You will also enjoy viewing a wide variety of fish, sea stars, sponges and coral on your scalloping excursion.
Your charter includes your Florida Saltwater Fishing License, masks, snorkels, fins, catch bag, bottled water and an in-water guide to help you identify and maximize your catch! We will also take candid photos of your excursion free of charge!
Our clean and spacious boats can carry up to six (6) passengers each with a USCG Master Captain at the helm.
